Supporting people with disabilities to live purposeful, connected lives—at home, at work, and in their communities.
3Rivers is a nonprofit organization that empowers people with disabilities to live with independence, dignity, and belonging.
We provide supports that help individuals build meaningful lives, at home, on the job, and in the community.
Our work is rooted in respect, choice, and the belief that every person has unique strengths and goals.
We offer a wide range of services designed to support each person’s goals, abilities, and daily needs. Every service is guided by our core values of respect, empowerment, collaboration, and community.
3Rivers brings together the strengths of three longtime Maine organizations: GMS, Uplift, and Independence Advocates of Maine. Each served local communities for decades, offering person-centered services and building strong relationships with individuals, families, and partners.
By uniting into one organization, we created broader resources, stronger supports, and a shared commitment to high-quality care.
Empowering and supporting people with disabilities to live purposeful, connected lives by promoting independence, dignity, and inclusion.

Together, we strive for a future of greater impact, streamlined care, and lasting advocacy, where we do more together.
